Fushi Copperweld was born of the 2007 acquisition of the American innovator Copperweld Bimetallics LLC by Dalian, China-based Fushi International, that country's leading bimetallic producer. When the two companies joined, the undisputed worldwide leader in bimetallic conductor technology was created.
Soon thereafter, the company began trading on the Nasdaq under the symbol FSIN.
